XDI unveils next-generation Climate Risk Hub: Where flexibility meets power

Sydney, 2 October 2025
— XDI today announced a next-generation upgrade to the XDI Climate Risk Hub, the platform trusted by governments, investors and companies around the world to turn complex climate data into decisions that matter.

The upgrade delivers unprecedented flexibility, accuracy and transparency, giving users the power to shape their own analysis and meet the demands of a changing world.

“Flexibility, control, and power - that’s what turns complex climate data into real-world decisions,” says XDI Head of Product Jason Gregory.

“The new Hub gives users real control: the ability to input their own data, the power to test any scenario, and the confidence to make decisions grounded in reality. By combining advanced science with real-world flexibility, this release ensures our users can see, test and trust the realities on the ground.”

What’s new

The update introduces a suite of major enhancements that redefine how users interact with physical climate risk data:

  • Anomaly Management:  Corrects implausible flood results by identifying and adjusting for errors in elevation, data sources or geocoding.

  • Coastal and Flood Defences:  Integrates real-world protective structures like levees and barriers, or lets users switch them off to stress-test “no-defence” scenarios.

  • Asset-Specific Hazard Thresholds: Tailor impact thresholds for wind, cyclone and heat events to match your own regulatory or planning needs.

  • Elevation Overrides: Add your own elevation data for pinpoint accuracy in flood analysis.

  • Metadata Packages:  Download contextual files with every analysis for complete transparency into inputs, assumptions and adjustments.

Why it matters

With these new capabilities, users can now input their own data, test multiple scenarios, and control every variable, building climate insights that truly reflect their reality.

  • Accuracy you can trust. Real-world data, regulator-ready results.

  • Control in your hands. Test, adapt and model different futures.

  • Total transparency. Every assumption visible and verifiable.

“These upgrades mean the Hub can now support everything from high-level portfolio stress tests to detailed single-asset assessments — with a level of precision and trust the market has never seen,” said Gregory.
