A message from our founder and CEO, Dr Karl Mallon on the recent appointment of Marc Evans as Managing Director.
“As CEO of the Climate Risk Group, I’m excited to announce a major step in the evolution of our flagship company, XDI (Cross Dependency Initiative).
XDI has always been founder-led, but as the company continues to grow, we recognised the need to strengthen our leadership team to support the next phase of our evolution, from an elite science-based software and consulting company into a fully-fledged global technology company.Following an exhaustive international recruitment process, Marc Evans emerged as an outstanding appointment, combining scientific training with an early career in finance, extensive experience in SaaS technology start-ups and scale-ups, and a demonstrated personal commitment to international development and aid work across the Asia-Pacific region.
This appointment allows Marc to lead our teams as we accelerate the integration of our cutting-edge physical climate risk analysis into a growing suite of highly accessible SaaS and API tools, while I double down on climate thought leadership, innovation and impact. Marc and I will be working from our London office through to the end of June, including several major launches with the UN, Arc and LSE in the run-up to London Climate Action Week.
Please reach out if you’d like to meet Marc or hear more about the work and capabilities we’re building."
